For our client, we are looking for an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer with a strong focus on designing and developing backend services in the Java/Spring Boot ecosystem.
The role is suitable for a candidate who can design APIs, work with event-driven architecture, and pay attention to security, testing, and observability of solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implementation of backend services in Java with a focus on OOP, core concepts, streams, and concurrency.
- Development in Spring Boot with comprehensive knowledge of the ecosystem.
- Design and implementation of REST API (HTTP, authentication: JWT, OAuth2).
- Design and implementation of communication via WebSocket; gRPC as an advantage (nice to have).
- Working with relational databases: SQL, JPA/Hibernate, indexes, transactions, migrations.
- Working with PostgreSQL and the time-series database TimescaleDB.
- Implementation and integration in an event-driven architecture (EDA) using Kafka.
- Applying design and architectural patterns: Clean Architecture, DDD.
- Containerization and basic orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (basic).
- Working with Azure cloud (core services, cloud architecture).
- Setting up and using a CI/CD pipeline: GitHub Actions / GitLab CI.
- Preparation and maintenance of tests: unit tests and integration tests.
- Considering security: OWASP, secure API design.
- Supporting observability: logging, monitoring, and tracing.
