Senior Software Engineer / Time Series Expert (.NET, C#, C++)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer / Time Series Expert with strong technical experience in development in .NET/C# and C++ and a hands-on understanding of processing, analysis, and modeling of time series (Time Series).

• The role includes designing technical solutions, working with large volumes of time-oriented data, and contributing to the architecture and optimization of high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, development, and optimization of software solutions in .NET / C# and C++.
• Architecture design and implementation of complex backend components.
• Processing and analysis of Time Series data.
• Design of algorithms and data structures for efficient processing of large amounts of time-oriented data.
• Working with both historical data and real-time data.
• Implementation of solutions for aggregation, interpolation, resampling, trend detection, and anomaly detection in time series.
• Optimization of applications in terms of performance, latency, and memory usage.
• Integration of solutions with databases, APIs, and other systems.
• Technical analysis of complex problems and proposing appropriate solutions.
• Writing clean, testable, and long-term maintainable code.
• Code reviews and establishing development best practices.
• Collaboration with developers, architects, analysts, and domain experts.
• Technical mentoring of less experienced team members.

Requirements

• At least 5+ years of experience in software development (senior or expert level).
• Excellent knowledge of C# and .NET.
• Very good knowledge of C++.
• Hands-on experience with processing and analysis of Time Series data.
• Good knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming.
• Experience designing scalable and high-performance applications.
• Experience with performance optimization and troubleshooting complex systems.
• Knowledge of working with relational and/or Time Series databases.
• Experience with designing and integrating REST API.
• Knowledge of Git and modern development practices.
• Ability to independently analyze complex technical problems and propose solutions.
• English at a level enabling daily technical communication.

  • Resampling and data aggregation
  • Interpolation and working with missing values
  • Trend & seasonality analysis
  • Anomaly detection
  • Forecasting / time series prediction

  • Optimization of storage and querying of Time Series data
• Nice to have:
  • Experience with InfluxDB, TimescaleDB, QuestDB, or other Time Series databases.
  • Knowledge of Python and libraries used in data analysis.
  • Experience with Kafka or other event-streaming technologies.
  • Experience with cloud environments Azure or AWS.
  • Docker / Kubernetes.
  • CI/CD.
  • Experience with distributed systems and high-performance computing.
  • Experience with mathematical or statistical modeling.
