Senior Data Engineer (MS Fabric, Cloud)

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, implement, and optimize advanced data and analytics solutions on Microsoft Fabric or Microsoft Azure.

You will work closely with clients and delivery teams to create secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud architectures tailored to business needs, with ad hoc trips to Bratislava.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize advanced data and analytics solutions on the Microsoft Fabric or Azure platform.
• Design and architect modern data platforms, analytics, and BI solutions using Microsoft Azure or Fabric (including OneLake, Data Factory, Synapse, Power BI, etc.).
• Translate business requirements into scalable and secure technical architectures.
• Guide and support implementation teams in deploying and configuring Microsoft Fabric services.
• Conduct architecture reviews, assessments, and technical workshops with clients.
• Provide expert-level technical guidance and thought leadership to clients.
• Create technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and design patterns.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud architectures tailored to business needs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer working with Azure data services.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Engineering, Lakehouse, Pipelines, and Dataflows.
• Strong command of SQL and PySpark.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT methodologies, and data modeling (Kimball/Inmon/Medallion).
• Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Nice to have: experience in Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and Azure Storage technologies.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Willingness to visit Bratislava (ad hoc trips).
