General Description
We are looking for a Data Architect / senior data engineer who can tackle complex data challenges, facilitate discussions between business and technology, and act as a partner for internal teams and clients.
The role focuses on end-to-end delivery of data solutions – from discovery and architecture design through operations and continuous improvement – with an emphasis on the ability to deliver, learn, and innovate in practice.
What will you be doing?
- Turn raw data into value: from discovery and architecture design through data modeling to implementation, operations, and continuous improvement.
- Design and optimize robust data pipelines and data models – conceptual, logical, and physical – with regard to scalability, cost, and quality.
- Solve complex problems end-to-end, including data profiling, quality, observability, performance, security, and compliance.
- Consult with clients and the internal team, gather requirements, lead workshops, and translate business needs into technical specifications and data models.
- Work with code, cloud, and modern AI technologies; design MVPs and iteratively validate their value.
- Collaborate in small, focused teams using agile practices and emphasizing quality and rapid feedback.
Requirements
- Databricks – must-have.
- Python, SQL, Pandas, and PySpark.
- Experience with Snowflake as an alternative to Databricks listed in the stack.
- Modeling for lakehouse and DWH.
- Experience with cloud and deploying solutions in Azure.
- Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines for larger datasets.
- Experience with conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling, such as 3NF, dimensional modeling, and lakehouse layers, including mapping them to business needs.
- Consulting skills: active listening, the ability to ask good questions, communicate clearly, and guide the client toward a decision.
- Ability to take ownership, learn, and try new approaches.
- Knowledge of working with various data sources, such as call center logs, customer segmentation, IoT sensors, and web analytics.
